The American Association of Geographers
The American Association of Geographers (AAG) is a nonprofit scientific and educational society founded in 1904. For more than 100 years the AAG has contributed to the advancement of geography.
AAG members are geographers and related professionals who work in the public, private, and academic sectors who share interests in the theory, methods, and practice of geography. There are members in more than 60 countries worldwide.
The AAG promotes discussion among its members and with scholars in related fields, through an Annual Meeting, scholarly journals, the activities more than 70 specialty and affinity groups, and nine regional divisions.
